Second half of the split 2021 core update, completing the changes Google could not ship in June.
What changed
Google released the promised second part of the split core update on 1 July 2021, completing it on 12 July. Sites that had moved in June sometimes saw partial reversals, exactly as Google had warned. Guidance was unchanged from the standard core update advice.
Timing
Rollout began 1 July 2021. Google declared it complete on 12 July 2021, 11 days later. Rankings typically remain unstable for the whole rollout window, so measurements taken inside it are not a reliable read on the outcome.
