Shipping and returns policy configuration in Search Console
Google let retailers declare shipping and return policies directly in Search Console instead of only through structured data.
What changed
Google added organisation-level shipping and returns settings in Search Console, giving retailers without a Merchant Center account a way to supply the policy data used in product listings and free listings. Corresponding organisation-level structured data support was added in the same period. Accurate policy data affects how product results are annotated in search. Only the month of announcement is documented here.
Timing
Rollout began 1 July 2024. No completion date was announced. Rankings typically remain unstable for the whole rollout window, so measurements taken inside it are not a reliable read on the outcome.
